      Under 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Copenhagen’s last five games have all gone under 2.5 goals and this looks likely to be another, with Kilmarnock a difficult team to break down under Derek McInnes.

      FC Copenhagen 2-0

      Reason for tip

Two of Copenhagen’s last six wins have been by a 2-0 scoreline and they can repeat the trick as they should be able to outclass their Scottish opponents.

      FC Copenhagen vs Kilmarnock Predictions

      • Copenhagen’s last five games have gone under 2.5 goals
      • Kilmarnock’s two European away games this term have produced two goals
      • Two of Copenhagen’s last six wins have been by a 2-0 scoreline

      Hosts a quality outfit

Kilmarnock picked up one of the biggest results in their recent history when beating Tromso 1-0 away from home recently to progress to the play-off qualifier of the Europa Conference League.

They face another tough test in Scandinavia when they travel to Copenhagen to take on the Danish giants in the first leg on Thursday.

The hosts reached the knockout stages of the Champions League last season, pipping Manchester United and Galatasaray to second spot in their group.

They were subsequently beaten 6-2 by Manchester City on aggregate but it shows the gulf in class between these two outfits.

However the Lions needed a mammoth penalty shootout to get the better of Czech side Banik Ostrava in the last round of qualifying.

      Low-scoring affair likely

This is a massive challenge for the Scottish team but Derek McInnes knows how to set up a team defensively and they may be able to keep things tight.

Their two away games in Europe this term, against Cercle Brugge and Tromso, produced just a goal each.

Killie will be well drilled and could keep themselves in the tie for the return leg at Rugby Park by ensuring this game goes under 2.5 goals.

Correct score backers should side with a 2-0 success to the hosts.
