FC Dallas vs Houston Dynamo Betting Tips & Predictions

The last derby game between these two sides will be the highlight of the season for Houston Dynamo and an awful blip in the record books for FC Dallas. The visiting FC Dallas side showcased their inability on the road for the first time back in March when they were picked apart by Houston Dynamo and went away from the BBVA Compass Stadium on the back of a 5-0 defeat.

Since then FC Dallas have lost three times away from home, with two of them being almost as heavy as the first with a 3-0 loss to Whitecaps and a 4-0 defeat to New York Red Bulls.

However, the hosts come into this match having won three and drawn one of their last four matches, leaving them 2nd in the MLS Western Conference with just a point separating them from top of the table Colorado Rapids. The leaders do have a game in hand on Dallas, and seven of the eight teams below them have also played fewer games than them, but they have put themselves in a strong position.

Houston Dynamo haven’t been able to recreate the form they showed against FC Dallas back in March. They are coming into this match having lost seven of their 13 matches this season and won just three, putting them at the bottom of the Western Conference with a poor return of 12 points from a possible 39.

All of their victories have come on home soil as well, and away from home they have lost six and drawn one of their seven matches. FC Dallas, on the other hand, are unbeaten at the Toyota Stadium this season and have won five of their seven matches there.

If you look back into last season FC Dallas are unbeaten in 14 home games and have only lost one of their last 23 outings there. Whilst odds of 6/10 for an FC Dallas Win may look short I actually think they offer value. The hosts will be on the warpath after their heavy defeat last time round and they have been excellent at home this season, whereas Houston Dynamo have been awful away from home.
