Both of these sides have already had a handful of pre-season friendlies and have proven that they are able to put plenty of goals past opposition who are perhaps not up to the standard they will face when the season gets back underway. Fulham have been hard at work trying to get deals over the line so far since the last season came to a close but only the talented Jean Michaël Seri in the centre of midfield has been completed. That leaves plenty of opportunity for members of the squad to stake their case for a spot in the starting XI, and non more so than the options up front. Aleksandar Mitrović, a player who is currently being courted by both of these sides, is yet to return or be replaced following his loan move from Newcastle last season, so the likes of Rui Fonte, Aboubakar Kamara and Floyd Ayité will be looking to cease their opportunity with both hands.
