Can France finally notch a first win?

France have made a dreadful start to the Nations League, picking up just two points from three games, with their defeat coming in Denmark last week.

Both teams have scored in each of those fixtures though, while you have to go back 23 matches to a 2-0 loss to Finland in 2020 for the last time Didier Deschamps’ side failed to score.

There have been three or more goals in six of their last eight at home, but there are defensive concerns, keeping clean sheets in just half of their last six.

Croatia looking to build momentum

Croatia picked up their first win of their Nations League campaign on Friday when they beat Denmark 1-0 to move off the bottom of the table.

That was the first time Zlatko Dalić’s side had kept a clean sheet in five games, three of which saw both teams score, as have four of their last five away fixtures in the Nations League.

They have scored in 10 of their last 11 away matches, six of which have contained three or more goals, including a 7-1 thrashing of Malta.

I predict both teams will score in this game and that there will be three or more goals across the 90 minutes, but France have never lost in nine meetings with Croatia, so a 2-1 home victory is my correct score prediction.
