Fulham Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Fulham have only lost two of their eight competitive games this season and are unbeaten in three. They face an injury-stricken Chelsea side that have won just two of their last 18 Premier League matches.

Fulham 1-0

Reason for tip

Chelsea are without a goal in three matches and will be without striker Nicolas Jackson on Monday. They have lost two of their last three league games by a 1-0 scoreline and both of Fulham’s Premier League games have been 1-0 wins this season.

Carlos Vinicius To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Carlos Vinicius scored on his first start of the season in midweek and could be fancied up front for Fulham. He has scored twice in three appearances this term, averaging a goal every 59 minutes.

Fulham vs Chelsea Predictions

  • Fulham have lost just two of their eight competitive games this season.
  • Chelsea have only won only two of their last 18 Premier League fixtures.
  • Chelsea have failed to score in their last three league games.

Both sides fresh from midweek success

The pressure on Mauricio Pochettino was eased slightly as Chelsea progressed in the Carabao Cup in midweek but it could be piled back on the Chelsea boss when they face Fulham on Monday.

The Cottagers also managed a cup win in midweek, beating Norwich to make it three games unbeaten and continuing a solid, if unremarkable, start to the 2023/24 season.

Chelsea lurch from one crisis to another

For Chelsea, the start to the Pochettino era has been anything but solid.

They sit 14th in the Premier League table, are without a goal in three league games and have a seemingly never-ending selection crisis to deal with, with as many as 11 players potentially missing for Monday’s short trip to Craven Cottage.

The Blues have scored just eight competitive goals this season and will be without midweek goalscorer Nicolas Jackson after the new arrival picked up yet another booking in their 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa last weekend. He will join fellow Malo Gusto and Ben Chilwell in the jam-packed Stamford Bridge physio room.

Cottagers to pile misery on beleaguered Blues

Fulham have lost just two of their eight competitive games this season and, given Chelsea’s well-documented struggles, they look a good price to get something from the West London Derby.

Three points isn’t out of the question, either. Both of their league wins this season have been by 1-0 scorelines and Chelsea have lost two of their last three in the top-flight by that scoreline, so I’m backing that alongside Carlos Vinicius to make it three goals from four appearances this season.
