Fulham vs Crystal Palace Predictions
- Over 2.5 goals has landed in five of Fulham’s last eight games.
- Over 2.5 goals has landed in three of Palace’s last five.
- Palace won at this ground in the league in February.
London duo chasing last four spots
Neither Fulham nor Crystal Palace have ever managed to win the FA Cup but one of these sides will have a great chance to end that run after this weekend as the two London clubs meet in the quarter-finals in an early kick off on Saturday.
Palace are the team in the better form as they have won their last four across all competitions – and that run started with a 2-0 win at Fulham in the league.
An away win is tempting as the Eagles are the 11/5 underdogs, but the best angle for our main bet could be the goals market and the odds-against price on over 2.5 goals looks a solid option.
Go for goals at Craven Cottage
With a place in the semi-finals at stake there is a chance this game could be a cagey affair, but a goal would change things and both of these sides are capable of striking early.
Fulham have only managed one clean sheet in their last nine games across all competitions but they rarely draw a blank at home either, and they’ve only failed to score in two home games across all competitions all season.
The did fail to score in a 2-0 defeat to Palace at Craven Cottage, but Fulham created enough chances in that game to suggest they can hurt the Eagles even if they were unable to get on the scoresheet.
Palace have won nine of their last 11 competitive games and have only lost twice in their last 14. The Eagles have also scored at least twice in seven of their last 10 games and it seems likely that both of these teams can get on the scoresheet, and they should be able to combine for at least three goals.
Palace’s form, and their recent league win at this ground, suggests they may be able to secure a place in the last four without the need of extra time and a 2-1 win for the away side is my correct score pick.
Palace have scored at least twice in seven of their last 10 games and exactly twice in five of those, they’ve also gone six games without conceding on the road but Fulham can end that streak in what should be an incredibly competitive FA Cup tie.
