Raul Jimenez To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Jimenez has scored five of his six goals this season at home, netting in two of his last three run outs at Craven Cottage. Opposition strikers have been troubling Ipswich of late, so back Jimenez to score.

Fulham vs Ipswich Predictions

  • Fulham have seen both teams score in seven of their last eight
  • Six of Ipswich’s nine away trips have seen BTTS land
  • The Cottagers have had BTTS land in eight of their nine home league games

Fulham survive rough run

Fulham’s finish to 2024 can be chalked up in multiple ways. The Cottagers did win just two of their final seven matches, but they also went unbeaten in that stretch. While five draws in seven isn’t ideal, Marco Silva’s side had a difficult finish to the year which saw them meet Tottenham, Brighton, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Bournemouth.

The Cottagers’ impressive underlying numbers took a hit during that stretch, but they came through it unscathed. They’re firmly in the top-half ahead of a comfortable start to 2025. Sunday pits them against Ipswich, offering an opportunity to start turning those draws into victories.

Defensive issues remain for Cottagers

While Fulham are picking up results, they do have some concerns at the back. Silva’s side have seen both teams score in seven of their last eight matches, while all but one of their outings at Craven Cottage have featured both sides finding the net.

Ipswich aren’t the most prolific side in the league, but they have scored over a goal per game on their travels. On top of that, both teams have scored in six of their nine trips. Given that Fulham have recorded only three clean sheets across 19 league games, the Tractor Boys should cause them some problems.

BTTS prices haven’t exactly been generous across the Premier League this season, but goals are reasonably well-priced here considering Fulham’s run of form.

Jimenez can trouble visitors

One thing to note across Ipswich’s previous eight games is the profile of player that is scoring against them. They’ve conceded to Chris Wood, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Enes Unal, Mattheus Cunha, Alexander Isak and Kai Havertz. Marcus Rashford also netted against them as United’s central striker.

That points to some joy for Raul Jimenez, who has scored five of his six Premier League goals at Craven Cottage. The forward has scored in two of his last three home appearances, so he seems like a good option to net against the Tractor Boys.

With Liam Delap scoring 40% of Ipswich’s goals this term, you might want to double up on Delap and Jimenez as scorers at a low stake.
