Galatasaray Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Galatasaray have won six of their last seven home games while Tottenham have lost their last two away games. Galatasaray are currently the strongest set-piece team in Europe – which also happens to be Spurs’ main weakness, so the home side should have a great chance of winning. Back them Draw no bet here because Spurs did play well against Villa on Sunday and have attackers on form.

Galatasaray 3-2

Reason for tip

Tottenham have scored at least two goals in nine of their last 11 games, so Galatasaray will no doubt have to score multiple times to take the win. The Turkish side have scored 21 goals in their last seven home games, so may be able to pull off a 3-2 win here.

Gala can pop Spurs’ perfect record

Tottenham’s perfect Europa League record could go against Galatasaray at RAMS Park on Thursday night with Ange Postecoglu’s side set to face the continent’s most effective set-piece team.

The Turkish table-toppers have scored 13 goals from dead balls in all competitions this season, including one penalty, and it is no fluke either with Galatasaray currently producing the second-highest expected goals from their set-pieces.

Opposition corners are Spurs’ kryptonite, which was evidenced again by the calamitous defending at the near post that led to Morgan Rogers’ tap-in at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. Postecoglu’s side went on to produce a thrilling comeback that papered over the cracks in their defensive set-up, but they could be in for more trouble in Istanbul if it doesn’t improve.

Travelling Tottenham set for a tumble

Tottenham have given themselves some breathing space in this competition by winning their first three games, but this is a major step up in class from the likes of Qarabag, Ferencvaros and AZ.

Galatasaray are five points clear at the top of the Turkish Super Lig and have a world-class striker in their ranks. Victor Osimhen scored his fourth goal in four games when they last played a week and a half ago, so the home side should be well-rested for this clash too.

It seems sensible to oppose Spurs in this clash because Postecoglu’s side have not exactly been stellar on their travels this season. They have lost three of their last six away games, winning the other three – but those victories came against Championship side Coventry, a befuddled Manchester United and a naive Ferencvaros.  Back Galatasaray in the draw no bet market at close to even money because their recent home slate has been fairly easy so Spurs represent a step up for them too.
