Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

These two served up a thriller in he first leg and there is little to suggest this return will be any different as both teams look to book their spot in the Champions League group stage, so bank on them both to find the net in Istanbul.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Both of these teams can be strong on their day, but they have been unreliable at times lately so it is difficult to place too much trust in them. Both defences are prone to mistakes, so a 2-2 draw could be worth an investment in the correct-score market.

Galatasaray vs Young Boys Predictions

  • Each of Young Boys’ last eight matches have featured at least three goals
  • Six of Galatasaray’s last seven games have seen both teams find the net
  • Gala have kept one clean sheet in their last ten matches

Another goal-packed thriller looks lively

There is a massive prize on offer to Turkish champions Galatasaray and last season’s Swiss table-toppers Young Boys in Istanbul on Tuesday as they winners of their playoff tie will book their spot in the group stage among Europe’s big boys.

And if last week’s 3-2 win for the boys from Berne was anything to go by, we could be in for another cracker.

That’s not necessarily due to the teams being supremely confident in attack, as they have had their issues already this season, but that points to goals.

Young Boys have failed to win any of their opening five games in the Swiss Super League, and while Gala have found their feet with wins over Hatayspor and Konyaspor, a 5-0 thumping by Besiktas in the Turkish Super Cup will have left its mark.

Home side may not have things their own way

However, Galatasaray showed plenty of steel to come back from 2-0 to level matters with two Michy Batshuayi goals before Young Boys won the game with a late penalty, so these look evenly matched.

The market predicts a comfortable home win, but Young Boys dominated the first match before allowing Gala back into things and will rue some good missed opportunities.

They are capable of progressing with a draw in Istanbul, so correct-score punters may be interested in supporting a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night.
