Barca can raid Getafe

Barcelona are unbeaten in nine of their last ten visits to Getafe and can justify their odds-on status with a win at Estadio Coliseum on Saturday.

Getafe and Barcelona have both won more games than they’ve lost this season, but the visitors are 12 places and 19 points better off than the hosts. Barcelona also won the Spanish Super Cup earlier this month, beating Real Madrid 5-2 in the final to give them a winter boost.

Getafe’s struggles in front of goal are a major concern. No team in the Primera Liga has failed to find the net in more games than their nine, and they have been disappointing at home, scoring just eight goals in ten games – an average of 0.8 goals per game.

It’s hard to draw many conclusions from Getafe’s recent results, with three wins, no draws and three defeats in their last six outings. They beat Las Palmas 2-1 on Sunday to bring their opponents’ four-game unbeaten run to an end but this is a much tougher fixture.

Barcelona to win 1-0 looks a decent correct-score bet. They won by the same scoreline the last time they met in the Primera Liga earlier this season and Getafe have sustained six 1-0 defeats this season.
