Aberdeen to Win

Reason for tip

It has been a crazy season for Aberdeen but the Dons should be able to secure a Scottish Cup final berth after a decent run of form.

Aberdeen 2-1

Reason for tip

Hearts have failed to score in their last three games but they should make their mark in this one, although preference is for a 2-1 Aberdeen win.

Hearts vs Aberdeen Predictions

  • Aberdeen have lost just one of their last ten matches
  • Seven of the Dons’ last ten outings have featured at least three goals
  • Over 2.5 goals was a winning bet in nine of Hearts’ last 13 games

Topsy-turvy season for the Dons

It has been the craziest of seasons at Aberdeen and it looks as if it could have a thrilling climax as they can book a Scottish Cup final spot at Hearts’ expense at Hampden Park on Saturday.

It looked as if they would be able to challenge for the Scottish Premiership title when they dropped just two points from their opening 11 games, but then the wheels fell off and they went 14 outings without a win.

However, Jimmy Thelin’s side have turned things round, losing one of their last ten, which was a 5-1 defeat to runaway leaders Celtic and they look in a strong place to not only challenge for third spot in the league, but also see off the Jambos in their semi-final.

Hearts are not in great form

Hearts will  have been disappointed to end up in the bottom half of the Scottish Premiership after last week’s split and they have failed to score in their last three matches.

They have had a tougher path to the semis than the Dons, who have yet to face top-flight opposition in the competition, as the Jambos needed penalties to see off St Mirren and beat Dundee 3-1.

However, recent form points to a Dons win and as plenty of both teams’ recent games have ended with more than three goals, it makes sense to back Aberdeen to win 2-1.
