Hearts to Win

Reason for tip

Hearts have beaten Dundee two out of three times this season, with includes a 6-0 win last month. They’ve turned their season around after a poor start and can continue a cup run with a win here.

Hearts 2-0

Reason for tip

Hearts have been in good goal-scoring form, averaging two goals per game in their last ten league matches. They have put a total of 14 goals past Dundee in three meetings this season and should find the net again here. Cup matches tend to be tense, especially at this stage, so a 2-0 scoreline looks like the best bet

Hearts vs Dundee Predictions

  • Hearts have won two of their three meetings this season
  • Hearts won 6-0 in their latest match
  • Hearts are averaging two goals a game in their last ten matches

Semi Final looms for Hearts

Hearts face Dundee in the quarter-finals of the Scottish FA Cup. This will be the fourth time they have faced each other this season, with Dundee winning the first meeting and Hearts winning the next two, the most recent of which was a one-sided 6-0 victory. Hearts’ season has been a tale of two halves, with the first being largely forgettable as they sat bottom in the early stages of the league campaign, But they have turned it around and are on a great run of form, sitting fourth in the form table over the last ten matches. They now have an opportunity to go on a cup run for a trophy they have not won since 2012.

After Hearts lost 3-1 to Dundee United in the second round of league fixtures, they went on to lose their next seven games in all competitions. It was clear something wasn’t right, and that poor run of form led to the departure of Steven Naismith. Neil Critchley has come in and got Hearts playing at the level they should be. They are a better side than Dundee, as they have proven in the last two meetings, and should come out of this with a win.

Hearts have averaged two goals per game in their last ten matches, so it may be worth betting on 2-0 as the correct score
