Hibs have inferiority complex to overcome

To say that Hibs’ head-to-head record against Rangers is poor would be an understatement, given they have not won any of the last 11 meetings, losing each of the last eight.

That does not bode well for a team who could only draw 1-1 with St Johnstone, the team who are bottom of the Scottish Premiership, in their last match.

And David Gray’s side have a worrying record at Easter Road, where they have been beaten three times in the last ten, including a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers’ defending champions were also on the end of a beating to Rangers recently, with the Ibrox outfit landing a 3-0 success on home soil on Thursday night.

That was a fifth victory in seven league games for Philippe Clement’s side, who have now moved tidily into second place in the table.

Their away form could do with some work, but they have won three times in nine attempts on the road, including two of the last four, defeating St Johnstone 1-0 and Ross County 3-0.
