BVB can keep Champions League hopes alive

It has been a difficult season domestically for Borussia Dortmund but they have hit some form at the right time and they can boost their chances of qualifying for the Champions league by winning at Hoffenheim on Saturday.

Relegation is still a slight concern for the hosts but they are eight points clear of danger with just four games remaining, so they have probably already done enough to ensure they will be in the top tier next season already.

BVB have won three of their last four Bundesliga games and they managed to hold Der Klassiker rivals Bayern Munich to a 2-2 draw in their last away game.

Hoffenheim are generally tough to beat at home and they’ve only lost three of their last eight at this venue, but they’ve also only lost one of those games so an in-form Dortmund side chasing a top four spot should be able to take the points.

Clean sheets have been an issue for the visitors and they’ve gone 10 without keeping a shut-out. As such, a 3-1 win for BVB has a chance in the correct score market as they’ve scored at least three goals in each of their last four victories and Hoffenheim have scored exactly one goal in three of their last four home games.

Dortmund are finishing the season with a flourish and leading marksman Serhou Guirassy is in excellent form. Guirassy hit a hat-trick against Barcelona in the Champions League and followed that up with a strike in the win over Borussia Monchengladbach, and he can continue his hot-streak by helping his side see off Hoffenheim.
