Huddersfield to Win

Reason for tip

Huddersfield, unbeaten in eight home games, are in excellent form and should see off struggling Rotherham on Saturday. Michael Duff’s promotion hopefuls sit fourth in League One, while Rotherham, down in 17th, have lost four of their last five away matches.

Huddersfield 1-0

Reason for tip

Rotherham have suffered six 1-0 defeats this season, including two in their last three away games. Huddersfield have recorded two 1-0 home wins in their last four matches and could edge this one by the same margin.

Huddersfield vs Rotherham Predictions

Terriers backed for home win

Huddersfield are in form and should be backed to beat Rotherham on Saturday.

Michael Duff’s side have been winning regularly lately, while four of Steve Evans’ Rotherham’s last five away games in League One have ended in defeat.

Huddersfield are fourth in the league and will be pushing hard for promotion this season, with 13 wins, four draws and five losses from their 22 games this season, while Rotherham are surprisingly down in 17th place, having won seven, drawn six and lost nine.

Rotherham’s recent form has been up and down, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six games.

Huddersfield are unbeaten in their last eight home games in League One, while Rotherham’s win at Lincoln on New Year’s Day was their first on their travels since overcoming Cambridge 1-0 in early October.

A 1-0 victory for Huddersfield is the most appealing option in the correct-score market. Rotherham have lost 1-0 in two of their last three League One away games and have sustained six 1-0 defeats this season.

Two of Huddersfield’s last four League One home matches – against Wigan and Stockport – finished with Duff’s team running out 1-0 winners, while Rotherham have failed to score on their last three trips to the John Smith’s Stadium.
