      Under 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Hull City and Derby County could still be relegated from the Championship, and with just two matches remaining this looks set to be cagey contest. Five of the last six meetings have featured fewer than three goals so that looks the most likely outcome in a fixture with so much at stake.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

Hull and Derby drew 1-1 earlier in the campaign and that looks a likely outcome in this latest meeting. Neither side will want to give anything away so it is hard to envisage a flurry of goals in East Yorkshire. Each of the last two meetings have seen both sides get on the scoresheet, but scoring twice may be beyond either outfit.

      Hull City vs Derby Predictions

      • Five of the last six meetings have featured fewer than three goals
      • Hull have scored more than once in just one of their last seven matches
      • Hull and Derby drew 1-1 earlier in the campaign

Nervy encounter likely in Championship relegation scrap

Each of the bottom nine sides in the Championship could still be relegated and Hull City and Derby are two of the sides firmly in the fight for survival with two games remaining.

Because of that, a nervy encounter can be expected at the MKM Stadium on Saturday and we predict a low-scoring encounter to be played out in East Yorkshire.

This fixture has rarely been an entertaining spectacle at the best of times, and five of the last six meetings have featured fewer than three goals.

It was 1-1 when these two met at Pride Park earlier in the campaign and a repeat scoreline is our correct-score prediction.

Both sides won last time out, with Hull getting the better of another relegation rival, Preston, 2-1, while the Rams boosted their chances of survival with a 3-1 win at West Brom.

Hull will be wary of that result so will look to keep things especially tight, and it is hard to see either side scoring more than once should either find a way to break through.

The Tigers have managed to do that just once in their last seven outings, so holding Derby at bay will be their man aim.
