Tigers and Canaries could serve up a thriller

Back both teams to score in Saturday’s Championship clash between Hull and Norwich at MKM Stadium. Both sides have scored in seven of the last nine meetings between these teams.

Norwich are 11 places above Hull in the table, with the two sides separated by 14 points. The hosts are 22nd with seven wins and 16 losses from their 31 games this season, while the visitors are in 11th having won 11 and lost 11.

These are tough times for Hull, with three of their last four Championship matches ending in defeat. Norwich’s form has been up and down, with two wins, one draw and three defeats in their last six games, but they are unbeaten in six of their last seven meetings with Hull.

Both teams have scored in 19 of Norwich’s 32 Championship games this season and, although they won the last meeting between these sides 4-0, both sides had scored in the five previous encounters. Norwich have scored in three of their last four league games.

Goals could be on the cards in this one, with both sides struggling defensively. Hull have conceded at least twice in four of their last six league games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in five of their last seven.

That should mean goals at both ends, with 2-2 appealing as a correct-score pick. There have been four goals or more in ten of Norwich’s 32 Championship matches this season.
