Hull City vs Stoke City Predictions
Tigers can clinch victory
Hull go into Saturday’s home game with Stoke confident after a 3-0 win against Sheffield United in their last Championship match and it is worth backing Ruben Selles’ side to get the better of Mark Robins’ team at the MKM Stadium.
Hull 3-0 success at Sheffield United last week certainly caught the eye with the Tigers beating a side who were on a run of three consecutive victories.
Hull were priced at 4/1, the biggest price they have won at so far this season, and can take that confidence into this clash.
They are one place above Stoke in the table but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won. Hull have won seven and Stoke six of their 29 games this season, with the hosts having the better goal difference.
Stoke go into this game having lost 3-1 to Portsmouth in their last away game and playing out a goalless draw with Oxford on Saturday.
Their struggles up front will be a concern for them. They have been disappointing in front of goal away from home this season, scoring just eight goals in 14 games – an average of 0.6 goals a game.
Stoke’s defence has been far from secure of late. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in two of their last three Championship games and have conceded on each of their last two away trips.
Hull have a real edge in terms of recent results and, having won so convincingly last week, will be confident of getting the better of Stoke.
A 1-0 win for Hull looks like a decent correct-score bet. Two of their last three league victories have been by a 1-0 scoreline.
