Under 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Six successive Hull games have contained fewer than three goals, including three in a row at home. West Brom have only conceded eight times in 14 league outings, with their last seven Championship fixtures containing under three strikes.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Hull have conceded exactly once in five successive games, including a hat-trick of 1-1 draws, two of which were at home, while West Brom have drawn two of their last five fixtures 1-1.

Hull City vs West Bromwich Albion Predictions

  • None of Hull’s last five games have contained more than two goals
  • There have been fewer than three strikes in seven successive West Brom matches
  • The Baggies’ opening 14 fixtures have seen only 22 goals scored

Hull searching for rare win

Hull are in trouble in the Championship, with a six-match winless run seeing them sink closer and closer to the relegation zone.

Their big issue has been scoring goals, as they have managed just three of them in those half a dozen fixtures, failing to hit the back of the net on three occasions.

Indeed, none of those games have contained more than two goals, with the Tigers proving pretty stubborn in defence, conceding exactly once in the last five.

Three of hose outings have been at the MKM Arena, where only one of their seven ties in the Championship has contained 3+ goals.

West Brom’s faltering promotion run

Fortunately for Hull, the form of opponents West Brom is just as bad, as they arrive in Humberside winless in eight outings, including six successive draws!

Only one of those games, a 3-2 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in late September, has contained in excess of two strikes.

In fact, the Baggies have one of the division’s best defences, conceding only eight times in 14 fixtures, although they are only averaging one goal per game as well.

I predict that there will be under three goals in this match, with 1-1 my correct score prediction.
