Inter Milan To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Inter boast the best defensive record in this season’s Champions League, conceding just once in nine games, and having shut out Feyenoord in last week’s first leg, they can repeat that trick back on home soil.

Inter Milan 2-0

Reason for tip

It was 2-0 to Inter in last week’s first leg and a repeat outcome looks likely for the Italian giants back on home soil. The Nerazzurri have won their last five Champions League home games by an aggregate score of 10-0 and although they don’t need to go for the jugular in this game, they should be able to pick off their depleted visitors.

Inter Milan vs Feyenoord Predictions

  • Inter Milan hold the best defensive record in the Champions League this season
  • The Nerazzurri are unbeaten in their last 13 Champions League home games, winning 11 of those
  • Feyenoord are yet to score a goal under new head coach Robin van Persie

Defensively strong Inter to seal quarter-final place

Inter Milan claimed a 2-0 victory over Feyenoord during last week’s first leg in Rotterdam and they should be able to ease their way into the quarter-finals during Tuesday’s return fixture.

The Nerazzurri boast the best defensive record in the Champions League this season, conceding just once in nine matches, while they have won all four of their home games in the competition without conceding.

That impressive home record is nothing new, as Simone Inzaghi’s side are unbeaten in their last 13 Champions League fixtures at the Giuseppe Meazza, winning 11 of those and keeping the same amount of clean sheets.

Van Persie yet to get Feyenoord firing

Feyenoord overcame Inter’s city rivals AC Milan in the knockout phase play-offs of this season’s Champions League, but their overall form is poor, as they have won just three of their last 10 games in all competitions.

Former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Robin van Persie was appointed as their new head coach last month, but Feyenoord have failed to score in either of his games in charge, including last week’s first leg.

With a lengthy injury list to also contend with, it is difficult to see Feyenoord laying a glove on Inter, who can repeat the 2-0 victory they claimed in Rotterdam.
