Italy and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Italy have won two of their three Nations League games with both teams scoring in all three. The Azzurri have won three of their last five home Nations League games, with BTTS in four. Additionally, both teams have scored in all three of Israel’s Nations League matches – all defeats.

Italy 3-1

Reason for tip

Italy won 2-1 in Hungary in Israel’s ‘home’ game in this group and have regularly conceded goals recently, although rarely more than one. After seeing France put four past Israel on Thursday, the Azzuri can hit three in a comfortable win.

Italy can recover from Rome setback

Italy will attempt to stay on top of their Nations League A group when they host an Israel side that look destined to return to the level below in Udine on Sunday.

Luciano Spalletti is looking to turn Italy’s fortunes around after missing the last World Cup and an underwhelming Euros campaign, so success in this competition is perhaps more important for the Azzurri than group rivals France or Belgium.

After a good win over France in Paris and a solid away victory over Israel last month, Italy’s campaign suffered its first setback when they allowed Belgium to fight back from two goals down to claim a point in Rome this week.

Back both teams to bag in Udine

That result turned on Lorenzo Pellegrini’s red card and he will be missing from Spalletti’s midfield on Sunday in Udine, but in-form striker Mateo Retegui is good to go.

He can help Italy return to winning ways, although Israel have proven capable of scoring goals at this level and can also bag in a result that may match Italy’s 3-1 win in Paris last month.
