Juve beginning to find some consistency?

It has been a frustrating season so far for Juventus, who have drawn far too many games to be truly contending a the top of the Serie A table.

However, back-to-back victories, over Cagliari (in the Coppa Italia) and Monza perhaps show they are beginning to find some form, as Thiago Motta’s side go in search of a third successive victory.

The club have not achieved that since November last year, but the fact they are unbeaten at home in the league – albeit with six of their nine games ending all square – gives hope that such a run can be ended.

Fiorentina losing form

Further reason for home fans to be positive is the recent results of visitors Fiorentina, who have lost two of their last three games.

League defeats to Bologna (1-0) and Udinese (2-1), either side of a 1-1 draw with Vitoria Guimaraes in Europe, mean Viola have dropped to fifth in the table, above Juve only on goal difference.

And their record in head-to-heads leaves little to be desired either, given Raffaele Palladino’s side have lost six of the last eight meetings between these two sides.

I predict that Juventus will win this game, with 2-1 my correct score prediction.
