Motta departs Juve

Over the international break Juventus sacked manager Thiago Motta after just nine months in charge of the club and replaced him with Croatian Igor Tudor, who was Lazio boss last year.

His first game in charge sees him take on Genoa and a low-scoring affair looks likely.

Only four teams have scored fewer goals this season in Serie A than the visitors’ total of 28 in 29 games but they have only conceded 37 times and as a result are ten points clear of the drop zone.

Juve have struggled in front of goal too, netting just six times in their last seven games in all competitions. Breaking down teams who sit deep has been an issue for the Old Lady all season and Genoa are likely to set up in exactly that way.
