      Juventus vs Manchester United Predictions

Juventus came into this Champions League group stage as rather heavy favourites for the race to the top of the group, and it’s easy to see why at the halfway point. The Turin giants have won all 3 of their group games so far and hold a 5 point lead over 2nd placed Manchester United. A victory on Wednesday would mathematically seal their passage to the knockout rounds and almost guarantee the top spot for them.

It has to be said, a victory for the hosts is looking very likely considering their performance at Old Trafford a few weeks ago. Juventus absolutely dominated the out of form Manchester United, and the 1-0 scoreline was rather generous for Jose Mourinho’s men given how the game went.

In fairness to Manchester United, Juventus are in absolutely tremendous form this season. The Serie A champions are yet to be beaten in any competition, and they have won a very impressive 13 of their 14 competitive games this term. Their last competitive defeat came back in the middle of April, meaning they are now unbeaten in 19 games.

Manchester United can only dream of such a record at the moment. The club has been in tatters ever since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement, but this season has possibly been the worst of the lot.

They somehow managed to take 3 points from Bournemouth at the weekend despite looking like a defensive collapse waiting to happen for much of the first half. This makes it only 3 wins from their last 9 games in all competitions, and they have picked up just 4 points from their 3 Champions League games so far.

The Red Devils have won 7 of their 15 competitive games this season, losing 5 times in the process. Away from home they have lost twice, but have conceded a disappointing 10 goals in 7 games. This includes shipping 3 against both Brighton and West Ham, and now their shaky back line faces the prospect of shutting off Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.

The visitors were lucky to get away with just a 1 goal deficit at Old Trafford, and considering Juventus have won 5 of their 7 home games by at least a 2 goal margin this season we think backing a Juventus -1.0 Asian Handicap looks a quality option along with a 2-0 correct score predictions.
