Girona’s struggles should be evident against Las Palmas

Girona have endured quite the fall from grace since last season and the Catalan club could be vulnerable away to Las Palmas in La Liga on Saturday.

This time last season, Girona were in contention for top spot in Spain but they go into this weekend’s fixtures in 12th spot.

That is not a disaster given they overperformed last season and are juggling domestic duties with the Champions League but it does mean it is easier to oppose them in league fixtures.
