Latvia to make it two from two?

Latvia started their quest for promotion in the Nations League with a 3-0 win over Andorra on Friday, just their second victory from 13 attempts in the competition.

Dainis Kazakevičs’ side are certainly on the up though, registering three wins from the last five, two of them by at least a two goal margin.

Meanwhile, these two countries have not meant since 2013, but Latvia have been victorious in seven of the previous nine clashes, four of them by two strikes or more.

Liechtenstein looking for rare victory

Liechtenstein wins do not come around very often. They have picked up just two of them in their last 35 games, losing 27 times in the process – including a recent run of seven defeats in a row.

They have conceded 38 goals during that run of reversals, including a 6-0 hammering to Cape Verde and 9-0 mauling at the hands of Germany in World Cup qualifying.

Martin Stocklasa’s side meanwhile have failed to score in six of their last nine away games, losing half a dozen of those outings by at least three goals, and have registered just one competitive victory on their travels in eight years.

Latvia should win this game comfortably, I predict they will do so with a -2 handicap, selecting 3-0 as a correct score prediction.
