Leicester City vs Brentford Predictions
- Leicester have lost 10 of their last 11 league games.
- Brentford have won three consecutive away games.
- The Bees won the reverse fixture 4-1.
Friday night delight for Brentford
There is a Friday night Premier League game this week as struggling Leicester take on in-form Brentford at the King Power Stadium.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester are in dire form with 10 defeats in their last 11 games but somehow they’re only two points adrift of safety.
A win would see the hosts climb out of the drop zone, temporarily at least, but the more likely scenario is the Bees leave with maximum points.
Brentford were terrible travellers earlier in the season with just two points from their first nine away games. However, the West London outfit have turned it around and are unbeaten in their last four away, winning their last three, and they can pile the pressure on their hosts by securing all three points.
Brentford can win without conceding
Leicester’s attack wasn’t the problem in the first half of the season but they have struggled for goals over the last few months.
Van Nistelrooy was a fearsome striker in his playing days but it seems as if he hasn’t managed to bring that attacking edge into management just yet as Leicester have looked incredibly weak up front. The Foxes have scored just nine goals in 11 league games since he took charge – with five of those coming in the first two games.
Brentford have managed three clean sheets in their last four away from home so if you are looking for a bigger price by backing the Bees and away win to nil looks a decent option, and that thinking is reflected in a correct score prediction of 2-0 to Brentford.
Leicester’s last four home losses have all come via that scoreline and they’ve conceded exactly twice in each of their last five at the King Power across all competitions, and three of Brentford’s last four overall have gone under 2.5 goals so that pattern may continue here.
Kevin Schade was Brentford’s standout player in attack last time out as he grabbed the only goal of the game at West Ham. The German has scored two goals in his last three games and his last three goals have all come away from home. Schade hit a hat-trick in Brentford’s 4-1 win over the Foxes in the reverse fixture and he can terrorise Leicester again with an anytime effort on Friday.
