Leicester City vs Burnley Predictions

  • Burnley have lost seven of their last eight Premier League matches.
  • Leicester have won four of their last five home meetings with Burnley, losing none.
  • Leicester have conceded in four of their five league games this season.

Hosts can bounce back from Brighton defeat

Leicester have had a mixed start to the season but they will be confident of getting the ball rolling again on Saturday as they face a Burnley side that look destined for a relegation battle this season.

The Foxes have won four of their eight competitive games so far and claimed a famous Community Shield win right at the start of the season, but they have struggled at times in the league and find themselves in a disappointing 12th.

Clarets’ struggles continue

Burnley are there for the taking, though. The Clarets may have managed a 4-1 win over Rochdale in midweek but they are showing very little sign of turning things around in the Premier League.

After five games they have amassed just one point – a draw against the winless Leeds – and looking back to last season they have now lost seven of their last eight league games.

Back Foxes for the win

It’s hard to look beyond a home win here. Leicester may not have enjoyed the best of starts but they have won four of their last five home games against the Clarets and are unbeaten at home against them since 2014. I’m backing them for the win.

Sean Dyche’s side have managed to score in three games this season, though and with Leicester conceding in four of their five top-flight matches a 2-1 correct score prediction also appeals.

Leicester predicted lineup: Schmeichel; Castagne, Soyuncu, Vestergaard, Bertrand; Ndidi, Tielemans; Daka, Maddison, Barnes; Vardy

Burnley predicted lineup: Pope; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Gudmundsson, Westwood, Cork, McNeil; Rodriguez, Wood

  • Both teams have scored in six of the last seven Premier League meetings between these sides
  • Burnley have not won in eight Premier League games
