Crystal Palace to Win

Reason for tip

Leicester have the Premier League’s second-worst defensive record and face a Crystal Palace side who are firmly on the up after losing just one of their last nine Premier League games, take the Eagles to pick up another win here.

Crystal Palace 3-1

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in five of Crystal Palace’s last six league games and they should be able to continue that trend against Leicester, side with a 3-1 away win.

Eberechi Eze To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Eberechie Eze has two goals in his last three games and could benefit from Leicester’s struggles in defence, the England international looks overpriced to get on the scoresheet at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace Predictions

  • Leicester have lost 12 of their 20 league games.
  • The Foxes have conceded at least two goals in ten of their last 11 matches.
  • Eberechi Eze has two goals in his last three outings.

Eagles on the up

Crystal Palace have turned their season around after a poor start and they should be able to continue their climb up the table with a midweek win over Leicester.

The Eagles have lost just three of their last 15 games in all competitions, with two of those losses being back-to-back defeats against Arsenal in the EFL Cup and the Premier League.

Oliver Glasner’s men have secured wins over Tottenham, Aston Villa and Brighton in that run and have also picked up draws against Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle.

Palace are now just three points behind Spurs and will have their sights set on a top-ten finish come the end of the season.

Foxes’ defensive issues continue

The same cannot be said for Leicester, who have lost five league games in a row and look destined for a long battle against the drop.

The Foxes did secure a 6-2 morale-boosting win over QPR in the FA Cup on Saturday but these opponents are a significant step up on the Hoops.

Leicester have lost eight of their last ten league games and have conceded 26 goals in that run of matches.

In total they have leaked the second-most goals in the league at 44 and with star goalkeeper Mads Hermansen remaining out for the next few games, they look vulnerable once more when they host Palace.

The visitors saw off Stockport with relative ease in their weekend cup clash as Eberechi Eze netted the only goal.

The England international could cause plenty of issues for this Foxes team, in particular  right back James Justin, who has struggled defensively since returning to the top flight.

Add in the physicality of Jean-Philippe Mateta and an in-form Ismaila Sarr, who has three goals in his last five league appearances, and it’s clear that the away team have the attacking talents to threaten this porous defence.

Eze could star

These two teams met earlier in the season when Palace were struggling and played out a 2-2 draw, but the Eagles won the shot count 20-9 that day and given their progression throughout this campaign, they look a solid proposition to secure another victory.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has struggled to get a much better tune out of this Leicester squad than Steve Cooper did and they remain 19th in the table for a reason.

Crystal Palace have already beaten both other promoted teams this season and should be able to repeat the trick against their hosts at the King Power Stadium.

Given the fact that Leicester have conceded at least twice in ten of their last 11 matches, a 3-1 win for the Eagles is the pick.

Eberechi Eze has two goals in his last three games and looks a decent price to net again here.
