Leicester City vs Fulham Predictions
- Fulham have scored twice in each of their last five games
- Leicester have lost their last six in the Premier League
- The hosts have shipped 2+ goals in 16 of 21 league games this term
- Leicester have conceded 46 goals already this season
Foxes suffer another setback
Leicester’s survival hopes were dealt another blow in midweek with a 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace. The Foxes had a brief break from their battle to avoid the drop with a 6-2 FA Cup victory over QPR, but Wednesday’s loss to the Eagles means they’ve now lost six on the bounce in the league.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has won just one of his first seven games in charge – a fortunate victory against Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham. The Foxes are second from bottom with 17 games remaining and they look set for another defeat this weekend.
Fulham can bounce back
Fulham were beaten 3-2 at West Ham in midweek, but the Cottagers should take plenty from that performance. The Hammers managed just three shots on target, while Marco Silva’s side won the shot count 21-4.
Fulham won the Expected Goals battle 1.7 to 1.0 and they went into the game unbeaten in nine. Having survived visitors to Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea in that run, the Cottagers can clearly handle themselves on the road.
Fulham won 2-1 at Craven Cottage when these two met earlier in the campaign and they visit a Leicester side who have won just twice in 11 at home. Silva’s side shouldn’t need much to fix their form this weekend.
Back goals for the visitors
Fulham may have lost in midweek, but they continued a fine stretch of attacking form. The Cottagers have scored at least twice in each of their last five matches, netting 12 goals in total. They have found the net at least twice in four of their previous five trips, while Silva’s men have already scored twice in visits to Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Fulham created enough chances to put West Ham away, so they should exploit a leaky Leicester defence. the Foxes have conceded at least twice in each of their previous eight games, including that clash with Championship side QPR. They’ve conceded two or more goals in 16 of 21 league matches this term, while the visitors have proven they can score.
Leicester have seen at least two goals scored in 95% of their games, having shipped 46 times across their 21 matches. That should rule out a 1-0 win for the visitors, so instead of looking to Fulham in the match betting, back them to score twice or more.
