Low scorer expected in Lens

Goals could be at a premium when Lens host Rennes at Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Saturday, and under the goals looks the best bet. The home side have been solid at the back this season and that could mean it will be a tight contest.

Lens are eighth in Ligue 1, four places and seven points above Rennes. The hosts have ten wins, six draws and nine defeats from their 25 games this season, while the visitors have won nine and lost 14.

Lens are struggling at the moment, having lost four of their last five Ligue 1 matches, including their last two home games. In contrast, Rennes have won four of their last six league games and were 4-0 winners over Montpellier in their most recent away match two weeks ago.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking like a decent correct-score bet.

There have been three consecutive 1-1 draws on the spin between Lens and Rennes in Ligue 1 and Rennes’ last three league draws all ended with a 1-1 scoreline.
