      Lincoln City to Win

      Reason for tip

Lincoln’s strong attacking form, averaging 1.56 goals per game against top-half teams, gives them an edge over Reading, who are struggling with a 3-0 loss to Blackpool in their last match. Lincoln’s recent performances make them the favorites in this close contest.

      Lincoln City 2-1

      Reason for tip

With five of Lincoln’s seven wins this season coming by a single goal, a 2-1 scoreline is a reasonable prediction. Their solid attack against Reading’s defensive issues, along with the closeness of the matchup, suggests a tight victory for the hosts.

      Lincoln City vs Reading Predictions

      Imps backed for victory

Lincoln should be backed to win at home to Reading on Saturday.

Reading, managed by Noel Hunt, are three places above Michael Skubala’s Lincoln in the table, but the two sides are separated by just three points, with both teams having won more games than they’ve lost this season.

Lincoln have won seven and drawn seven of their 20 matches, while Reading have nine victories, four draws and 16 defeats from their 19 fixtures.

Reading lost 3-0 to Blackpool on Saturday and drew 1-1 with Wycombe two weeks ago on their last League One away day.

Lincoln drew their last league game 2-2 at Huddersfield and will be hopeful of getting on the scoresheet against Reading.

They have scored an average of 1.56 goals a game in their nine League One games against other top-half teams this season, and have averaged 1.40 goals a game in their five games against teams in the top six which bodes well for the visit of sixth-placed Reading.

Lincoln are the most likely winners in this closely-matched contest despite neither side being in great form after sticky patches.

However, Lincoln to win 2-1 looks a decent correct-score bet – five of their seven League One victories this season have been by one goal.
