Liverpool and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Liverpool have lost just once in the Premier League this season and look unlikely to fall to Ipswich, but the Tractor Boys have tended to score in away games and can make their mark at Anfield

Liverpool 3-1

Reason for tip

The Reds have scored at least twice in all but one of their home league games this season and they should continue that trend by earning a 3-1 success.

Luis Diaz To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Mo Salah has earned all the plaudits this season, but Luis Diaz has claimed eight Premier League goals this term and can make his mark again when he faces Kieran McKenna’s outfit.

Liverpool vs Ipswich Town Predictions

  • Liverpool have scored at least twice in nine of their ten Premier League home games this season
  • Ipswich have found the net in seven of their ten league away matches this term
  • Liverpool have lost just once in the English top flight this season

Tractor Boys could provide a few problems

Ipswich’s euphoria at beating Chelsea at Portman Road proved to be short-lived after they were thumped 6-0 by champions Manchester City last week, an they may be fearing the worst when they travel to Liverpool on Saturday.

The Reds look to be firmly in control of the title race, having suffered just one league defeat this term as the transition from Jurgen Klopp’s management to Arne Slot’s could not have been smoother.

However, the Tractor Boys, who have claimed victories at Wolves and Tottenham this season, may still be able to make their mark at Anfield as the all-conquering Merseysiders have kept just four clean sheets in their last 14 league games, despite their top-flight stranglehold.

Ipswich possess Liam Delap, who is proving a handful for any Premier League defence and scoring in seven of their opening ten league away matches is a decent achievement for a team who have had to make massive strides following successive promotions.

Reds can be relied upon for multiple goals

A victory for the Suffolk outfit would constitute one of the biggest shocks of the season, and Liverpool are unlikely to slip up after maintaining their perfect record in this term’s Champions League on Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Lille.

The only occasion when they have failed to score at least twice at Anfield in a league game this season was their 1-0 loss to this season’s surprise package Nottingham Forest and it would take a massive effort for the Tractor Boys to keep them at bay, so we could witness a similar outcome to Leicester’s recent visit, which resulted in the Foxes suffering a 3-1 defeat.

Diaz can enjoy better luck in final third

Plenty of punters looking for a goalscorer interest will end their search at the league’s top marksman Mo Salah, but it could pay to head a little further down the list and take a chance on Luis Diaz being on the mark.

The Colombian has scored eight league goals for the Reds this season, which is a respectable tally as one of the Reds’ supporting cast and, after he had six goal attempts without scoring in last week’s 2-0 win over Brentford, he could enjoy better fortunes this time.
