Liverpool vs West Ham United Predictions
- West Ham have scored in nine of their last ten away games
- Liverpool have conceded in four of their last five matches
- Liverpool have won and conceded in four of their last six meetings with West Ham
Reds to recover from poor run
A manic 15 minutes saw Fulham recover from an early Liverpool goal to beat the Premier League leaders at Craven Cottage last weekend, but the table-toppers should have enough about them to bounce back and get the title train back on the rails against West Ham.
Liverpool may harbour an 11-point lead at the top of the table, but their Champions League exit, Carabao Cup final defeat, and last weekend’s loss to Fulham have dampened spirits at Anfield, and Arne Slot will want to turn things around and end the season on a high.
Underwhelming Hammers face tough Anfield test
They shouldn’t have too many issues doing this against West Ham, who head to Anfield on the back of a four-game winless run and with a torrid recent record against the Reds.
The Hammers lost 5-0 at home to Liverpool in December, making seven defeats and one draw in their last eight meetings. They have conceded 24 goals in this run, although they have found the net in five of their last six encounters.
Salah to celebrate in style
This should open the door for a West Ham goal, with Graham Potter’s side scoring in nine of their last ten competitive away games and Liverpool conceding in four of their last five fixtures.
Arne Slot’s side have scored exactly twice in six of their last 11 games and West Ham have scored exactly once in nine of their last ten on the road, so a 2-1 correct score prediction also appeals.
Mohamed Salah put pen to paper on a new contract at Anfield this week and the Egyptian could celebrate his new deal by returning to the scoresheet after an uncharacteristic absence. Despite failing to score in his last four games, Salah has 27 league goals this season and an incredible 54 goal contributions in all competitions, and he can score a 14th career goal against West Ham on Sunday.
