Away-day woes to continue for Blackburn

Luton can boost their Championship survival hopes by beating Blackburn on Saturday. The visitors have lost eight times in their last ten Championship away games and Luton should take advantage of that at Kenilworth Road.

Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season, but there is a big gap between them in the table. Blackburn are 12th with 15 wins and 18 defeats, while Luton are 23rd with ten wins and 21 losses.

However, Luton are unbeaten in six of their last seven Championship matches, and their five matches without defeat is their longest run this season. 

Blackburn have had six defeats in their last eight Championship games and, although they are mid-table, they have lost 18 times this season.

The visitors’ attack has been blunt lately. Blackburn have failed to score in three of their last four Championship away games, losing three of those matches without finding the net.

The visitors’ defence also looks vulnerable. Blackburn have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four Championship away games.

A narrow 1-0 win for Luton looks the most likely outcome. Nine of Luton’s ten victories this season have come by one goal and, with Blackburn sustaining two 1-0 defeats in a row, a single-goal margin could decide it again.
