Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Leeds downed Luton 4-0 earlier in the season and should be able to complete a league double, but this game could be a lot closer. The visitors arrive in mixed form, albeit after dropping points in games where they have dominated, and Luton are showing some real fight in the survival battle. Leeds have only managed one clean sheet in their last seven games so back the away side to win and concede.

Leeds 3-0

Reason for tip

A Leeds win with goals at both ends is predicted, and Luton can keep it respectable as they are generally tough to break down at home. The Hatters haven’t conceded more than twice in a home game since August so back a 2-1 win for Leeds.

Luton vs Leeds Predictions

Whites to romp to victory in Luton

There should be goals in Saturday’s Championship clash between Luton and Leeds at Kenilworth Road, with over 2.5 goals the bet.

Luton have been involved in some low-scoring games of late – nine of their last 11 have gone under 2.5 goals – but there were four goals in their clash with Burnley last month, when they lost 4-0 and Leeds’ gung-ho nature should mean this bucks the recent trend for the Hatters.

Leeds are second in the Championship, 21 places above Luton, with the two sides separated by 43 points. Leeds have won 23 of their 39 games this season, while Luton have won ten.

Luton were 1-0 winners against Hull City in their last Championship game last weekend, but they have been hard to call, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six matches. Leeds have drawn two games in a row and are hard to beat – they have avoided defeat in nine of their last ten – but now need to go all-out for wins in their quest for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

When Leeds click they are the best side in the league and could run up a wide-margin success.

A 3-0 win for Leeds is an appealing correct-score bet. They have won by three or more goals seven times this season, and seven of Luton’s last nine Championship games have ended with at least one side failing to score.
