Millers can take advantage of poor Mansfield form

Rotherham are the best bet away at Mansfield on Saturday. The visitors, managed by Steve Evans, will be confident of getting a win at Field Mill against his former club with the hosts, Nigel Clough’s Mansfield side, struggling for form.

Mansfield are six places above Rotherham in the table, but with just two points separating the two sides, this is a big game for both.

Mansfield have dipped recently, losing 2-1 to Huddersfield in their last League One home game two weeks ago and ending a run of five straight defeats on Saturday with a 0-0 draw with Charlton.

Mansfield’s struggles at the back give Rotherham plenty of encouragement. The hosts have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four home games and have conceded in eight of their last nine league matches.

Mansfield are short on confidence and, with just two little separating these two sides in the table, Rotherham are fancied to get a result at Field Mill. Back the visitors to come out on top in a tight contest.

Rotherham have a real edge in terms of recent results between the two sides and are unbeaten in nine of the last ten league meetings, winning four of the last five.

With four of Rotherham’s last six League One wins this season coming by a single goal, a 2-1 correct-score in favour of the visitors looks a decent bet. Two of Rotherham’s last four league wins have been by that scoreline.
