      Millwall to Win

      Reason for tip

Millwall have had a rough patch but should be able to turn things around at home against a struggling Portsmouth side. Portsmouth’s poor away form, with 10 defeats in their last 12 games on the road, highlights Millwall’s advantage. Despite their recent struggles, Millwall can secure a vital win to keep their hopes alive.

      Millwall 1-0

      Reason for tip

Millwall’s recent 1-0 victories over Portsmouth in their last three meetings and the tendency for low-scoring games this season suggest a narrow 1-0 win for the hosts is the most likely scoreline. With 29 of Millwall’s 39 games ending with under 2.5 goals, another tight affair is expected.

      Millwall vs Portsmouth Predictions

      Lions to turn things around

Millwall are in poor form but they might be the value bet to turn things around when they host Portsmouth at The Den on Saturday.

Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Millwall are 13th in the Championship with 13 wins and 14 defeats, while Portsmouth are 17th with 12 wins and 18 losses.

Millwall lost 1-0 to Sunderland last weekend in their last Championship game and the result was no surprise, with Sunderland priced at 13/20 to win.

Portsmouth have lost their last two Championship away games and have now sustained 10 defeats in their last 12 on the road.

A narrow 1-0 win for Millwall looks the most likely outcome. They have beaten Portsmouth 1-0 in their last three Championship meetings and, with 29 of Millwall’s 39 league matches this season finishing with under 2.5 goals, another low-scoring game is on the cards.
