Millwall 2-0

Reason for tip

A 2-0 Millwall win is the pick. QPR have lost four games by this scoreline, and Millwall have won their last two matches 1-0, showing defensive solidity.

Millwall vs QPR Predictions

Goals in short supply at The Den

Back under 2.5 goals when Millwall host QPR at The Den in a London derby on Saturday.

There have not been many goals in this fixture recently, with fewer than three goals in seven of the last nine Championship clashes between the sides and five of Millwall’s last seven league games producing under 2.5 goals.

There has been little goalmouth action in Millwall’s games, with fewer than three goals in 22 of Millwall’s 29 Championship outings this season.

QPR are one place and one point above Millwall in the table, with both teams having won nine games this season. Rangers have nine wins, 11 draws and nine defeats, while Millwall have won nine, drawn ten and lost ten.

QPR, who have only lost one of their last seven away games, come into this derby in better form overall, having won four of their last five Championship matches, including a 3-1 win over Watford.

However, Millwall are going for a third successive win and with home advantage could come out on top. The Lions beat Portsmouth 1-0 on Tuesday with their only shot on target but showed they are defensively sound, having also beaten Luton 1-0 last week.

They have opened the scoring in their last three games and have won nine of the 13 matches in which they’ve scored first this season (69%) so will be difficult to peg back if getting in front.

QPR have lost nine league matches this season, four of them by a 2-0 scoreline, and Millwall to win by the same margin looks a decent correct-score bet.
