Nice to Win

Reason for tip

Nice have not lost in seven home games this season, while they are unbeaten in four at all venues. Strasbourg have failed to pick up a single victory on the road, losing three times in five outings.

Nice 2-1

Reason for tip

Nice have scored exactly twice in three successive home games, including a 2-1 win over Monaco. Strasbourg have conceded at least twice in four of their last five fixtures, as well as four successive matches on the road, though they have also scored in four of their five away trips this season.

Nice vs Strasbourg Predictions

  • Nice remain unbeaten at home in Ligue 1 this season
  • Strasbourg have failed to pick up a single win in five away league games
  • The hosts are four unbeaten, winning twice

Nice hoping to kick on

It has been an up and down season for Nice, who enter this round sitting in sixth place in Ligue 1, but hey did appear to be finding form before the international break.

The Eaglets had gone four unbeaten prior to club football’s hiatus, with victories against Monaco and Brest followed by a pair of 2-2 draws with Twente and Lille.

Both of those fixtures were at the Allianz Riviera, where Franck Haise’s side are unbeaten in seven outings this season, although five of them have ended all square.

Strasbourg’s struggles on the road

That is not good news for visitors Strasbourg, who make the long trip south having failed to pick up a single away league victory this season, losing three times in five attempts.

Two of those reversals have come in their last two trips, to PSG (4-2) and St Etienne, contributing to Liam Rosenior’s side conceding 14 times already on the road.

As such, they are 11th place ahead of this round, six points behind Nice, while they have picked up just two wins in their last nine matches at all venues.

I predict that Nice will win this game, with 2-1 o the hosts my correct score prediction.
