Blackpool’s attacking threat gives them the edge in Saturday’s League One clash away at Northampton. The visitors are the more prolific outfit and Steve Bruce’s side can get the win at Sixfields.

They are eight places and nine points above Northampton in the table. The hosts, who have won ten, drawn 12 and lost 15 of their 37 games this season, are 19th, while Blackpool are 11th with a record of 12 wins, 15 draws and ten defeats.

The hosts’ struggles up front are a concern for Northampton. They have scored just 19 goals in 18 home games this season – an average of just over one goal per game – and that is unlikely to be enough to secure victory here.

Their recent form at home has been disappointing, with three successive games without a win.

Blackpool have kept clean sheets in five of their last six matches against Northampton in League One, and they will be confident of shutting out the hosts’ attack.

A 2-0 win for Blackpool looks a decent correct-score bet. At least one team has blanked in six of the last seven League One meetings between these two sides, and Steve Bruce’s side are likely to come out on top here.
