Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Brighton may have a more talented squad than their hosts but they are on an eight-match winless run and could be breached by Norwich, who boast the Championship top scorer, Borja Sainz, amongst their attacking talents.

Norwich 2-1

Reason for tip

With Brighton struggling for results and Norwich unbeaten in four matches – a run which includes three wins – it could pay to side with the hosts at a big price. Both teams have scored in the Seagulls’ last six away games, though, so expect the visitors to net in defeat if backing the Canaries.

Norwich vs Brighton Predictions

  • Norwich are on a four-game unbeaten run which includes three wins
  • Brighton have drawn each of their last four matches
  • Both teams to score has been a winning bet in Norwich’s last six home games as well as in the Seagulls’ last six away matches

Canaries can play their part

Brighton’s hopes of playing European football next term are beginning to fade, but that is not to say they haven’t enjoyed a strong first season under young boss Fabian Hurzeler.

The German has overseen just four league losses in his time with the Seagulls but his side have played out ten draws in their 20 matches and getting over the line is proving to be an issue.

That will give Championship outfit Norwich some faint hopes of an upset in Saturday’s FA Cup third-round clash, with the two sides likely to play out a thriller at Carrow Road.

Seagulls set for a thriller

The visitors’ winless run now stands at eight games, although the fact they have drawn with Arsenal and Aston Villa in their last two outings suggest it may be hasty to back Norwich, even if they are on a four-match unbeaten run which includes three wins.

Brighton have a far stronger squad than their second-tier hosts and should find the net in Norfolk, but not without being breached themselves.

Both teams have scored in Norwich’s last six home games and in the Seagulls’ last six away matches so, with plenty of attacking talent in each camp, the same bet looks set to land again.
