Norwich to Win

Reason for tip

Norwich are unbeaten in 23 competitive outings on home soil, where they have won two of their last three games. They take on a Middlesbrough side who have lost two of their last three matches, while of their five league fixtures on the road this season, three have ended in defeat.

Norwich 1-0

Reason for tip

Norwich kept a clean sheet in their last home game and have scored exactly once in two of their last three home outings. Middlesbrough have twice lost 1-0 on the road this season.

Norwich vs Middlesbrough Predictions

  • Norwich are unbeaten at home this season
  • Middlesbrough have lost three of their last five away games
  • The Canaries are on a run of six fixtures without defeat

Will Canaries be singing come full time?

Norwich have found some form of late, with a six-match unbeaten run, which includes a trio of victories, helping push them on to the cusp of a play-off place.

The Canaries have been particularly good at Carrow Road, where they are unbeaten this season, winning twice in five league outings.

That run includes 4-1 and 4-0 thrashings of Watford and Hull respectively, both within their last three outings at home, where they last suffered a competitive defeat 23 matches ago, in November 2023.

Boro’s away day blues remain a concern

Middlesbrough picked up a mightily impressive 1-0 success against fellow promotion contenders Sheffield United in midweek, as they bounced back from defeats to Watford (2-1) and Bristol City (2-0).

The former of those matches was on the road, where Michael Carrick’s side have lost three times in their last five fixtures.

The other reversals came at the hands of Sunderland and Derby (both 1-0), which also highlights their lack of goals, with the Teessiders netting just four times in their five games on the road.

I predict that Norwich will win this game, with a 1-0 scoreline my correct score prediction.
