Norwich vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions

  • Spurs have kept clean sheets in each of their last three away wins.
  • Norwich have failed to score in four of their last five games.
  • The Canaries have scored just 23 goals in 37 Premier League games.
  • Son Heung-min has four goals in his last four games and could win the Golden Boot award.

Norwich unlikely to offer Spurs resistance

Tottenham head to Norwich on Sunday knowing they will be playing Champions League football next season if they avoid defeat at Carrow Road.

Spurs sit two points clear of fifth placed Arsenal with a vastly superior goal difference, so a draw would almost certainly be enough to guarantee a top four finish.

Norwich will definitely be playing in the Championship next season but they could avoid finishing bottom with a win, although anything other than three points for the away side would register as a huge shock.

There has been speculation of a food poisoning outbreak within the Tottenham camp and that is a concern. However, the players have two days to recover and the most likely scenario is that they will have most of their squad available.

Win and a shut-out for Conte’s men

The visitors are the heavy favourites to win so to get a bit more value out of this fixture an away win to nil looks a good option.

As a draw would be enough for Spurs I would expect boss Antonio Conte to stick to the solid defensive principles that have served them so well in recent weeks. Tottenham have won their last two games without conceding and going back a bit further they have four clean sheets in their last seven games. Away from home, Spurs have conceded just one goal in their last four games and each of their last three wins have been accompanied by clean sheets.

Norwich are comfortably the league’s lowest scorers with just 23 goals in 37 games, and they have failed to score in four of their last five games.

In form Son can fire Spurs to fourth

A 3-0 win for Spurs looks a good option in the correct score market as Norwich have conceded at least three goals in three of their last five losses and exactly three in three of those.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min always appeal as anytime goalscorer bets for Tottenham and at a bigger price the latter looks the best option. Son has 21 goals in 37 games – his best league campaign in terms of scoring to date – and has four goals in total in his last four appearances. The South Korean remains in contention for the Golden Boot award and that may even mean he is handed penalty duties on Sunday ahead of Kane, particularly if Spurs are already ahead and are then awarded a spot kick.

Norwich predicted lineup: Gunn, Aarons, Byram, Hanley, Giannoulis, Rupp, Normann, Lees-Melou, Dowell, Pukki, Rashica

Tottenham predicted lineup: Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon, Kulusevski, Kane, Son
