Nottingham Forest and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Forest need to bounce back from last week’s thumping at Bournemouth, but Premier League leaders are the only visiting team to have left with anything from the last five games at the City Ground, so while Brighton can score, they have their work cut out to claim victory.

Nottingham Forest 2-1

Reason for tip

Brighton have found the net in all 12 of their away league games this season, but the strength of Forest’s home record tips the balance in their favour, so expect them to claim a 2-1 victory.

Chris Wood To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Chris Wood has already scored against the Seagulls this season and looks set to add to his league tally of 14 goals after netting in four straight EPL encounters before last week’s defeat at the Vitality Stadium.

Nottingham Forest vs Brighton Predictions

  • Brighton have scored in all 12 of their Premier League away matches this season.
  • Forest have won six of their last eight league matches at the City Ground.
  • Chris Wood has scored 14 of Forest’s 33 league goals this term.

Forest will be delighted to return home

Both Nottingham Forest and Brighton have to pick themselves up following defeats last week, but a return to the City Ground should suit the Tricky Trees as they look to push on in their remarkable season

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team suffered a shock when they were thumped 5-0 at Bournemouth last week, but they have been strong on the banks of the Trent, where they have won four of their last five games, with the other being a 1-1 draw against runaway leaders Liverpool.

Forest have suffered just two defeats on their own patch and look likely to get the better of the Seagulls, even though Fabian Hurzeler’s have proved to be no pushovers when they have been on their travels.

Seagulls tend to find the net on the road

Brighton suffered the disappointment of a 1-0 loss to Everton at the Amex Stadium last week, but they are unbeaten in their last five on the road, including victories in their last two away matches at Ipswich and Manchester United.

They have netted in each of their 12 away league games this term, which bodes well for them getting on the scoresheet at the City Ground, but they may not have enough to claim a victory against a team who are no soft touch when they are playing in front of their own supporters.

Both teams have scored in nine of their last 11 games on the road, and that looks likely to happen again but with preference for a Forest win, correct-score-punting enthusiasts are pointed towards a 2-1 home success.

Wood can get back in the groove

Forest striker Chris Wood has played a huge role in the run that has taken the East Midlands outfit to third in the Premier League and he was enjoying a rich vein of form before last week’s disappointment on the south coast.

The New Zealand forward had scored in each of his previous four league appearances before that 5-0 loss at the Vitality and he was also on target from the penalty spot when they pair played out a 2-2 draw in September.

It would not be a surprise if he bounced back on Saturday and netted for the 15th time this season.
