Olympiacos vs Rangers Predictions
- Olympiakos have won two Europa League games in a row, keeping a clean sheet in both of those victories
- Rangers have lost two of their last three away matches, being defeated by Kilmarnock and Aberdeen
- Both teams to score has been a winning bet in just four of Olympiakos’ 14 games this season
Olympiakos can add to Clement’s woes
The pressure is beginning to build on Philippe Clement at Rangers as, after a 2-1 loss at Aberdeen in their last Scottish Premiership game, the Light Blues are now nine points off the leaders, their bitter rivals Celtic.
A 2-1 cup win over Motherwell on Sunday will have eased that pressure slightly but a poor result against Olympiakos could see the Belgian’s time at Ibrox brought to an end.
Rangers’ defeat at the Dons was their second in three away games, having lost at Kilmarnock just ten days prior, and there is no guarantee of a positive result in Piraeus, given the hosts have won their last two Europa League matches to nil.
Clean sheets have been a regular feature in Olympiakos games this season – be that for them or against them – as both teams have found the net in just four of their 14 outings.
That points to a lack of goals in Piraeus and Rangers’ poor finishing on their travels of late only adds to the appeal of an under 2.5 selection for this clash.
The Gers have taken a mammoth 96 shots across their last six away matches yet have scored just five goals in that run, suggesting net-bulging action is likely to be at a premium at the Karaiskakis Stadium.
