Saturday’s clash between Osasuna and Real Madrid at El Sadar is unlikely to be a low-scoring affair. Four of the last six Primera Liga meetings between these sides have had three or more goals and backing over 2.5 goals looks the best bet.

Real Madrid are eight places above Osasuna in the table and have 19 points more than the hosts. The leaders have won 15 of their 23 games this season, while Osasuna are on seven wins, ten draws and six losses.

Osasuna are struggling to get wins, having failed to win nine of their last ten Primera Liga games, and three of their last four matches have finished all square. Real Madrid, on the other hand, have four wins, one draw and one defeat from their last six league games and are unbeaten in 19 Primera Liga games against Osasuna.

Osasuna’s defence has been far from solid of late. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five home games and have conceded in 16 of their last 20 matches at El Sadar.

Seven of Real Madrid’s 12 league away days this season have had three or more goals, so backing over 2.5 goals looks the best bet here.

Real Madrid have been impressive in front of goal this season, scoring three goals or more in ten of their 23 league games. They have scored in 21 of those matches – a total bettered by no other side. Osasuna have scored in all 12 of their home games this season, but they only scored once in three of the last four.

A 3-1 win for Real Madrid is a tempting correct-score option. Four of the last six Primera Liga head-to-heads between these two sides have gone over 3.5 goals and there should be plenty of goalmouth action again here as Real Madrid look to back-up Tuesday’s 3-2 Champions League triumph at Manchester City.
