Peterborough vs Swansea City Predictions
- Peterborough have failed to win any of their last 10 matches.
- Swansea hammered the Posh 3-0 earlier this season.
- The hosts have failed to score in seven of their last 10 games.
Peterborough in huge danger after dire run
Five matches into Grant McCann’s tenure as Peterborough boss, the former Hull City manager has yet to pick up a win. Their terrible form predates his appointment, however, and a run of 10 games without a win looks likely to condemn them to relegation. Visitors Swansea City may have lost consecutive league games, but they will surely see this trip as a great opportunity to get back on track.
Indeed, Peterborough have failed to score in seven of their last 10 matches, and their return of four wins from 17 home matches is the worst such record in the division. The Posh may have salvaged a 2-2 draw against Stoke City on Saturday, but had failed to score in four consecutive home league games prior to that, and have only netted 27 times in 36 league games this term.
Swansea, meanwhile, beat Peterborough 3-0 earlier this season, but have lost back-to-back matches after encouraging wins over West Brom and Coventry. The Swans do not boast a strong away record, winning on just four of their 18 road trips this season, but will be encouraged by their hosts’ dreadful form.
Back Swans to beat troubled hosts
Given Peterborough’s awful form, backing Swansea for an away win looks the obvious tip for Wednesday, even if their own away record leaves much to be desired.
With the home side facing severe struggles in front of goal, meanwhile, a 1-0 away win could be a decent correct score prediction.
