      Portugal 2-1

      Reason for tip

Portugal have taken a grip of the group with two home victories and they were strong enough on the road in Euro 2024 qualifying to suggest they can shade this one by a 2-1 scoreline

      Poland vs Portugal Predictions

      • Poland are unbeaten in their nine home matches
      • Both teams have scored in nine of Poland’s last 12 matches
      • Portugal have won five of their last six away games

Both outfits should be positive in Warsaw

There was little to get excited about for Poland at the Euros as they took just one point from their three group matches, but there will be high hopes they can build on a strong home record when Portugal head to Warsaw on Saturday.

The Poles are unbeaten in their last nine games on their own patch, but they need to pick themselves up after they lost 1-0 in Croatia following a 3-2 Nations League victory in Scotland.

They should be expected to find the net, but Portugal head east having already taken a grip on proceedings by earning 2-1 victories in both of their home matches against the same opponents.

Roberto Martinez’s side were imperious in their away qualifiers for Germany, winning all five without conceding, but they should receive a greater threat from their hosts here, so there looks a strong chance that both teams can find the net, which has happened in all be three of Poland’s last 12 games.

      Portugal may just have edge

Portugal did suffer a 2-0 defeat to Slovenia the last time they were on the road in a March friendly, but they could just gain the edge in Warsaw.

It should be a keenly contested tie but it would not be a surprise if we witnessed another 2-1 victory for the Portuguese, so that is recommended as a correct-score selection.
