Preston Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Preston have won three of their last seven league games, drawing two and losing to promotion-chasing Coventry and Blackburn during that run. They produced arguably their best performance of the season in beating Burnley on Saturday and can overcome a Swansea side that have lost seven of their last 10 games in all competitions.

Preston 2-1

Reason for tip

Preston can take the spoils with a 2-1 win over Swansea, who have not scored multiple goals on the road in any of their last six trips. PNE bagged three against Burnley but may not quite be able to reach the heights of that performance. They have not shipped more than one goal in any of their last 10 at Deepdale.

Emil Jakobsen To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Preston North End’s Emil Riis Jakobsen has scored four goals in his last five home appearances in the Championship. He could be brought back into the line-up after starting Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Burnley on the bench.

Preston the pick after crushing Clarets

Preston produced arguably their best display of the campaign when beating Burnley on Saturday and will be looking to follow that up against lowly Swansea when returning to Championship action on Tuesday.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side dominated a much-changed Clarets side in the fifth round of the FA Cup to deservedly go through, showing a new-found clinicality in attack. The Deepdale boss could make a few changes of his own on Tuesday to combat Swansea’s greater freshness after they had the weekend off.

Luke Williams’ side are hard to get a read on because of their wildly inconsistent results. They have lost seven of their last 10 games in all competitions and have been woeful away from home, but did stand up and be counted in a 1-0 win at Ashton Gate recently.

Swansea are so hit and miss

They also beat Blackburn 3-0 at home late last month, but not many lower-half clubs have been good enough to beat Preston at home. Sheffield United in August and Bristol City in November are the only two sides to have won at Deepdale with PNE now on a 10-match home unbeaten run in the league.

That is good reason to side with the hosts on Tuesday with Draw no Bet looking the best way in because seven of those 10 matches were drawn.

Emil Riis Jakobsen, who has scored four goals in North End’s last five home games, can make the difference in a tight game that may be decided by one goal.
